Tyre of the month - Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance
As summer continues, our tyre of the month this August is an excellent summer tyre from Goodyear - the EfficientGrip Performance.
Goodyear are recognised for creating quality tyres and the EfficientGrip Performance is no exception. The EfficientGrip Performance has been designed to set a superior standard when it comes to summer driving, due to its improved grip and shorter braking distances on wet roads.
Constructed for luxury and high performance vehicles, the EfficientGrip Performance offers a smooth ride for dynamic drivers. This tyre has been recognised for its excellence worldwide winning awards including the Which? Best Buy Tyre Test 2014 and being titled 'Exemplary' by Auto Bild, Germany's number one automobile magazine.
The Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance has exceptional grip, in wet and dry conditions. It has been rated A for wet grip performance, which is the highest rating awarded under EU regulations. This is due to innovative WearControl Technology which ensures an optimal balance between wet grip and low rolling resistance for the life of the tyre.
Goodyear firmly believe that when it comes to braking the shorter the better and the EfficientGrip Performance reflects this ethos. This tyre has been designed using ActiveBraking technology which increases contact between the tyre and the surface of the road. This means that braking distances are reduced by up to two metres on wet roads and by 3% on dry roads.
As well as being a superior high performance summer tyre, the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance is also fuel efficient. Thanks to a new base compound which reduces energy dissipation, rolling resistance is reduced by up to 18%. This means that fuel efficiency is improved and driving costs are reduced.
